Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable data pipelines, maintaining data warehouses and data lakes using modern stacks, and integrating data from various sources to ensure the quality and integrity of our data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Collaborate with the data science team to support and contribute to their work
  • Develop integrations with our integration team
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and design data solutions
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of data governance and security policies
  • Monitor and optimize data pipelines for high availability, scalability, and performance
  • Monitor metrics for cost and usage of our data platforms
  • Design and document data architectures, data models, and data flows
  • Co-develop data architecture roadmaps
  • Collaborate with architects and master data specialists to ensure data quality

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering focused on data integration, ETL, and data warehousing
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark
  • Experience with data platforms like Databricks and Snowflake
  • Strong data modeling skills
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions on Azure
  • Understanding of data architecture principles, designs, and solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to build something new from scratch
