About The Role
The Head of Nutrition Poland will manage a team of Sales and Marketing for Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) responsible for setting the Country strategy and delivering the business results. This will be accomplished through the development and engagement of highly skilled and competitive sales and marketing teams.
The team that the Country Head is responsible for is accountable for creating localized marketing campaigns, setting sales strategy, and for managing relationships with key Distributors and Health Care Professionals (HCPs). The Head will also be ultimately responsible for market execution as well.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the development of the Annual Business Plan, with ultimate ownership of the Plan to deliver sustainable profitable growth
- Manage a team of National/Regional Sales Managers and National Distributor Manager to maximize the sales (through prescriptions) and distribution (wholesalers/pharmacies) of all MJN products through the establishment and appropriate execution of national sales programs and reimbursement applications
- Manage a team of Marketing/Medical Marketing in partnership with Medical Affairs to drive brand recommendation, develop digital levers and Continuous Medical Education (CME) to strengthen our scientific credibility
- Develop and ensure the execution of national and regional strategies for to achieve sales, profit and market share objectives
- Monitor market/competitor activity to develop the most cost-effective strategies in order to drive volume and profitability through increased prescription rates.
- Develop, manage and/or maximize partnerships (where appropriate) to drive improved performance.
- Conduct business performance reviews with the MJN team in order to track, monitor and adjust efforts and produce desired outcomes vs agreed KPI's
- Ensure Sales and Marketing work hand in hand with Medical to develop programs and tools to drive product superiority and increased Market share.
- Ensure team executes on designed programs.
- Set, communicate and manage performance expectations, monitor and appraise employee job results and performance in order to develop, counsel or provide corrective action. Provide information, educational opportunities and experiential growth opportunities in order to develop staff.
- Build a diverse organization that reflects the marketplace, inspires team through effective leadership.
- Ensure the Team understands and adheres to company standards and operating procedures.
- Raise and support any planned changes that could potentially affect safety of consumers/customers/employees, quality and/or efficacy of product, compliance against local regulatory requirements and/or global standards the compliance
- Cooperate with Commercial Quality to develop quality management system - procedures and working practices to meet current Global MJN procedures and policies
- Ensure all direct reports/underling employees, complete all assigned trainings related to QMS on continuous bases as a part of personal development
The experience we're looking for
- Currently a Sales or Marketing executive with a minimum of 10 years of experience (preferably in Nutrition/Pharma business). Preferably 3-5 years of managing people.
- Successful sales or marketing track record; brand and team builder.
- Has established relationships with key partners and customers; comfortable making presentations to all levels of decision makers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop an effective sales/marketing strategy; developed plans to support the strategy; ensured execution of plans.
- Can build an effective partnership with other departments particularly Supply and Demand, IBP and can provide constructive feedback re: new products, sales tools, promotions, etc.; ensure appropriate execution of marketing programs in the field
- Effective leader - has built an experienced team and has a proven track record of developing people
