About the role:

We are seeking a seasoned
VB.NET Lead Developer
to take ownership of application built on the .NET stack, while actively leading its strategic migration to Java in collaboration with other engineers. This role requires a strong technical foundation in VB.NET and ASP.NET MVC, paired with a forward-looking mindset to collaborate with AI engineers and ensure a seamless transition to a modern Java-based architecture. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining system stability, guiding the migration roadmap, and integrating intelligent features powered by AI.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of VB.NET-based applications.
  • Ensure application stability and performance during the migration to Java.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to test and integrate the modules as they get migrated.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align migration efforts.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and deployment strategies.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical decisions.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Mentor developers and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience
    in VB.NET and ASP.NET MVC (.NET Framework and .NET Core).
  • Proficiency in
    MS SQL Server
    and
    Entity Framework (EF6 & EF Core)
    .
  • Experience with AI assisted coding and best practices
  • Understanding of
    JavaScript and frontend-backend communication
  • Experience with
    application deployment
    and CI/CD tools.
  • Proven ability to work in
    Agile teams
    and manage tasks in
    Jira
    .
  • Excellent
    problem-solving
    and
    communication skills
    .
