Test Engineer (Automated Testing) – Tietoevry Banking (remote work is possible within Poland)

Tietoevry Channels is part of Tietoevry Banking, the leading provider of financial services and solutions in the Nordics. We are now looking for a Test Engineer with a strong background in automated testing to join our team and help ensure the quality and reliability of our digital banking products.

About the Role

As a Test Engineer, you will be supporting development teams and play a key role in ensuring the quality of our banking solutions. You will plan, design, and execute tests to ensure the solutions meet requirements and provide a good user experience. Your focus would be automated testing and improvement of testing processes, and you will collaborate closely with developers, test managers and product owners.

What We're Looking For

Since this is not an entry-level position, we are seeking someone with at least a couple of years of experience in automated testing and quality assurance. You should be passionate about clean code, automation, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Practical knowledge of modern test automation frameworks for web applications (preferably Playwright),
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (preferably TypeScript),
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable test code,
  • Understanding and practical application of design patterns,
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools,
  • Hands-on experience with testing RESTful APIs,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail,
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
