Allegro's development teams boast more than 1700 IT experts solving problems at a unique scale and complexity. However, if you join us, you'll be joining a specific team that operates like a small, agile startup within our large organization.

Our team is strongly product-driven, focusing on a key internal product that governs analytical events. The scale we handle is immense: we process billions of events daily. We are looking for a Mid Software Engineer with a strong background in Java/Kotlin and backend solutions who is also eager to grow and expand their skills into the world of Big Data.

We are a full-stack team of seven with diverse competencies, handling everything from our UI frontend and backend services to large-scale data processing. We are passionate about our internal users and work closely with various teams, including mobile developers, to deliver a complete solution not only for data consumers, but also producers. You'll be joining a group with varied experience levels, offering a great environment to both learn and make a significant impact.

• Code in Java and / or Kotlin

• We use the following programming languages/technologies: Java (at least 17), Kotlin (in some teams we also use Python), SpringBoot,  Podman, Kafka, MongoDB

• The IT team is made up of over 1700 members who have shared their knowledge at multiple conferences, such as DevDays or Devoxx, and co-create a blog:

• Microservices – a few thousand microservices and 1.8m+ rps on our business data bus

• Big Data – several petabytes of data and Machine Learning used in production

• We practice Code Review, Continuous Integration, Scrum/Kanban, Domain Driven Design, Test Driven Development, Pair Programming, depending on the team

• Our internal ecosystem is based on self-service and widely used tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Consul, GitHub or GitHub Actions. This will allow you, from day one, to develop software using any language, architecture and scale, restricted only by your creativity and imagination. 

• To match the scale, we also focus on building entire Platforms of tools and technologies that accelerate and facilitate day-to-day development, and we ensure the best Developer Experience to our teams
