Senior Data Analyst / Team Lead

Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst / Team Lead at dyvenia, you will be in charge of building SQL and

Power BI data models to support key business decisions for the world's biggest

organizations. You will collaborate with our project managers, guide your team members,

and work closely with our clients on their challenges requiring Data Foundations, Data

Analytics, and Data Science.

What will you do at dyvenia?

As a Senior-Level Analyst, you will work closely with our data engineers and clients to create

fast, efficient, and scalable data intelligence solutions for the world's leading organizations

and enterprises. You will collaborate with our project managers and support the

development of team members.. At the same time, you will receive mentorship from the

Leadership Team and work with our business partners on their data-intelligence challenges.

Among others, you will:

● Work with the dyvenia team and business stakeholders to identify requirements, define

models, and kickstart new analytics initiatives.

● Build data models with SQL using dbt. For this, you would gain deep knowledge of all the

datasets inside the data lake to be able to provide guidance to stakeholders.

● Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards mostly for commercial and

corporate data analysis.

● Develop and optimize data models (preferably in DAX and SQL) to ensure performance

and scalability, and advise solutions to problems.

● Handle user access management via Active Directory/security groups and ensure

compliance with RLS and company policies.

● Leverage creative solutions, analytics, and visualization/ reporting techniques to

enhance knowledge and drive actionable insights that deliver ROI.

● Manage projects on your own while collaborating with senior stakeholders and clients

● Help in mentoring and upskilling other team members, break down tasks, and allocate

workload

As a Team Lead, you will perform:

Admin tasks

● Making sure that the dyvenia employee guidelines are being followed

● Being responsible for checking direct reports' working time

Supporting career growth

● Ongoing feedback approach

● Supporting employees with their professional development

● Setting development goals with the employees and handling performance reviews

Team and individual support

● Having regular, documented 1:1s with the employees (weekly/biweekly)

● Having regular team meetings

● Ensuring work-life balance is respected by being aware of employees' competence

and capacity

● Creating a safe space within the team ( social contract) and maintaining a trusting

environment

Collaboration

● Sharing the vision of the project and the company

● Actively participating in leadership initiatives and meetings

● Working closely and raising potential risks to the HR department on

workforce-related, strategic topics

● Participating in mandatory trainings and meetings that have strategic importance

regarding the workforce

What will you need to be successful in the role?

You demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and have a keen interest in understanding

various business domains. You are experienced in working with various stakeholders and are

able to communicate data concepts to non-technical colleagues.

To be successful in the role, you would need:

● good SQL knowledge

● familiarity with Power BI - including data models, visualization, and management of

Power BI workspaces, ensuring proper setup, structure, and governance.

● Product Management skills with a focus on business impact, stakeholder

management, and value proposition

● Knowledge of ETL concepts and performance optimization

We will consider it an advantage if you also have familiarity with any of the following:

● Familiarity with DataOps principles

● Familiarity with dbt best practices

● Familiar with Agile methodologies

● Git software versioning

You are also:

● Fluent in English

● Have good presentation skills

● Able to communicate well within the team and with stakeholders

● Able to analyze business requirements, working with internal stakeholders

● Have good collaboration skills, which you will use daily with external consultants and

vendors

● A self-starter who is comfortable managing projects on their own

● A team player willing to share knowledge, ideas, and create a good atmosphere.
