How do we work:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will translate the work of the Analytics function into findings for application by the broader business, including for use in strategic decision making and planning. Implement analytical approaches and methodologies and assist in the interpretation of results. Drive conversations with the business on data best practices, set up control groups and educate on structured analysis ensuring maximum value can be extracted from any tests being run by the business.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with a cross-section of the company including Strategy, Product, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, Trading, Finance and Compliance, to answer high-level business questions and gain insights from the data you help to collect and manage
  • Perform advanced data analysis and modeling, create reporting and visualizations and educate the company on your findings
  • Influence the company's strategic direction
  • Identify and apply statistical and advanced analytical methods with customer teams, enabling action-orientated results
  • Make recommendations to improve data and analytics systems and platforms, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of data and analytics strategy.
  • Participate in planning sessions with key stakeholders, working with them to understand the business need, developing actionable insights and build partnership
  • Create complex algorithms that identify patterns in structured data.
  • Take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Provide guidance and training to others on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making

What skillset you need, to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial experience as a Data Analyst or a relevant role
  • Be able to translate complicated business requests into actionable and understandable data insights
  • Have significant experience working in both SQL and Python
  • Hands-on experience working within Finance or FinTech industries.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud/BigQuery/BigData or other cloud technology.
  • Have worked with enterprise business intelligences platforms such as Looker, Domo, with Looker as an asset.
  • University degree in numerate discipline (desirable) or compensating work experience
