We're looking for a
Category Manager
for our client - a premium distributor and retailer of fine spirits in Poland.

Our client brings rare and exceptional spirits from around the world to the Polish market, available both online and in an elegant boutique store in Warsaw.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow the 
    Spirits category
     (whisky, rum, gin, cognac, liqueurs, etc.).
  • Build and update the product assortment, analyzing sales performance and turnover.
  • Negotiate and establish partnerships with suppliers, importers, and brands.
  • Manage purchasing, pricing, and supply terms.
  • Define category 
    pricing strategy
     (retail and wholesale margins, promotions).
  • Conduct 
    market and competitor analysis
    , identify new brands and trends in the premium & craft spirits segment.
  • Collaborate closely with the 
    marketing
     and 
    e-commerce
     teams to drive category growth.
  • Monitor stock levels, logistics, and overall category profitability.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in 
    purchasing, category management, or assortment planning
     (preferably in alcohol, FMCG, or HoReCa).
  • Strong knowledge of the 
    spirits market
    , brands, trends, and distribution channels.
  • Negotiation and relationship-building skills with suppliers and brand partners.
  • Solid analytical skills, with experience in 
    pricing
     and 
    category performance analysis
    .
  • Commercial mindset and focus on profitability.
  • Fluency in 
    Polish and English
     (Russian or another Eastern European language is a plus).
  • Confident user of 
    Excel / ERP systems / BI tools
     (Power BI, Google Sheets, etc.).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in an importing or distribution company.
  • Established network of suppliers and brand contacts.
  • Understanding of 
    e-commerce
     and online alcohol sales in Poland.
  • WSET certification or equivalent knowledge of spirits categories.
