About the department

The General Ledger teams, briefly called GL, are responsible for maintenance and reconciliation of General Ledger. Days to days tasks include taking care of fixed and leased assets, inventory, payroll, accruals and other GL accounts and reporting financial package to Corporate Finance.

About the job

The role ensures Finance processes alignment and books compliance to both IFRS and local standards and represents the department in front of internal review and external audit. The Finance Team Leader is responsible for group reporting and financial year end close of books for 35+ entities.

Responsibilities 

•    People management of the team, team strategic planning

•    Acting as the owner of Coloplast GL processes and the primary contact to Business Support stakeholders

•    Accountable and responsible for internal and external reporting, fixed assets, inventory reconciliation, accruals and provisions bookings, GL accounts reconciliations

•    Ensuring processes alignment and books compliance to both IFRS and local standards

•    Preparation and management of external and internal financial reporting, accounts reconciliations

•    Day to day operations, local reporting and forecasting

•    Leading and supporting the development of the processes within the area

•    Applying new technologies to optimize finance processes, finding effective and efficient working methods within systems and transactions

•    Execute local and global finance projects and transitions

•    Keeping close dialogue with business partners, group reporting and controlling, IT and other stakeholders

•    Acting as an active member of the department leadership, proactively providing input and feedback on team's performance

•    Managing relationships with key stakeholders during projects

•    Executing finance strategy for their own area

Qualifications

•    Strong finance competencies

•    2+ years of experience in leading people, preferably within Finance department

•    Ability and passion to motivate and manage people

•    Solid experience with project management and finance transitions  

•    Business experience from an international organization working across boarders

•    Strong experience in efficiency implementation (includes digitalization and automation)

•    Strategic business understanding

•    Communication and interpersonal skills

•    High ethical standards
