This position involves delivering advanced cloud operations for premium security products, including the innovative Akamai Zero Trust Security platform. Responsibilities include optimizing services to enhance application and network performance, reliability, and security for users accessing the Zero Trust platform.
As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring reliability, availability, and optimal performance of essential systems and services effectively and consistently.Developing, implementing, and maintaining automation tools and processes to optimize operational tasks, system provisioning, and configuration management effectively.Implementing and maintaining effective monitoring systems to proactively detect and resolve potential issues, ensuring minimal impact on user experience.Collaborating with our support, operations, and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems.Identifying process improvement opportunities, implementing optimal practices, and adopting new technologies to boost system reliability and operational efficiency.Identifying and optimizing system bottlenecks, ensuring infrastructure availability, and maintaining continuous integration and delivery for the platform.Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Hold qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or possess equivalent professional experience within the field.Demonstrate expertise in Site Reliability Engineering or related positions with established practical experience.Demonstrate expertise in programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Go, Shell) alongside cloud platforms and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Demonstrate expertise in Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.Utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack for system analysis and performance tracking.Demonstrate knowledge of network protocols, including DNS, HTTP, TCP, and IP, ensuring comprehensive understanding and application in technical environments.Work in a way that works for you
