About the company
Our client is a Danish company from the pharmaceutical industry, currently expanding its Business Center operations in Warsaw. As part of this transformation, new teams and structures are being built in a modern office on Inflancka Street. Operating across multiple European markets, the company offers a unique opportunity to join a growing organisation at a pivotal moment of change and development.
About the Role
As Department Manager, you'll inspire and lead cross-functional agile teams spread across Europe. Your mission: drive excellence in application development and support, foster a culture of collaboration, and deliver impactful digital solutions that move the company forward.
You'll manage a department of internal and external professionals located in Denmark, Poland, Czech Republic, and Germany. Working closely with Product Owners and IT Management, you'll be part of the IT Solutions Management Team, ensuring delivery of high-quality, fit-for-purpose solutions.
Your leadership will focus on:
- Setting direction, defining goals, and building purpose for your team.
- Delegating, empowering, and following up on progress and delivery.
- Coaching and developing direct reports, fostering a high-performing, open, and trusting culture.
- Collaborating with Product Owners and stakeholders to align priorities and ensure successful deliveries
- Promoting standard software, fighting to keep a clean core and deploy best practice.
- Selecting and onboarding high-performing team members, building team spirit and engagement - both your own internal, but also augmented external staff capacities.
- Ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and continuous training in a regulated environment.
Who We're Looking For
Ideally, we are looking for an experienced IT leader who thrives in transformation and team development, and who brings strong cross-organizational collaboration and remote management skills.
Key requirements:
- 5+ years proven leadership in IT delivery teams - agile software delivery preferred.
- Strong skills in situational leadership, change management and transformation.
- Experience collaborating across teams, business units, and management groups.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in remote management and working with distributed teams.
- Experience in one or more of application areas QMS, HRIS, ITSM or CWS and preferable our platforms Veeva, SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project Portfolio Management Software.
