About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Identity & Access Management Developer to join our client's technology team. This role focuses on building secure, scalable identity and access workflows in the cloud, integrating identity services with APIs, event-driven pipelines, and cloud-native applications. You will collaborate closely with engineering and security teams to design and implement robust identity lifecycle workflows, automation, and secure service integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Identity Orchestration

  • Design and implement identity flows for provisioning, de-provisioning, and lifecycle management.

  • Integrate with cloud identity services and internal systems to streamline identity workflows.

  • Build policy-based orchestration for adaptive authentication and context-aware access.

API Development

  • Design, build, and secure RESTful APIs and backend services supporting identity, provisioning, and governance.

  • Integrate APIs with authentication services for token validation, user sessions, and authorization.

  • Create internal SDKs, middleware, and shared libraries for consistent identity logic.

  • Ensure API security, performance, and observability.

Event-Driven Processing (API-to-Pub/Sub)

  • Develop pipelines for asynchronous workflows such as automated identity tasks, access review triggers, logging, and anomaly detection.

  • Build microservices or serverless functions to process Pub/Sub events.

  • Implement robust event-processing patterns including retries, idempotency, dead-letter queues, and structured logging.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

  • Build and maintain Terraform modules for IAM, APIs, event workflows, and permissions.

  • Automate deployment and validation of identity configurations via CI/CD pipelines.

  • Implement automated testing for policies and API behavior.

Support & Collaboration

  • Troubleshoot identity, access, and API workflow issues.

  • Provide guidance on secure API design, IAM best practices, and identity workflows.

  • Collaborate with security teams during audits and incident investigations.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Expertise

  • Experience with modern identity orchestration platforms (e.g., SlashID, Auth0, Okta Workflows).

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or

  • Experience designing and deploying cloud-native APIs (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE).

  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub, and workflow automation.

  • Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, and identity federation patterns.

  • Proficiency in Terraform or equivalent IaC tools.

  • Experience with API gateways, reverse proxies, or service mesh technologies.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical thinker with strong debugging and root-cause analysis abilities.

  • Clear communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ownership mindset with security-first thinking and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • Google Cloud Security Engineer or Cloud Architect certification.

  • Experience with additional identity providers (Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity).

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (GKE RBAC + workload identity).

  • Experience with secrets management tools (Secret Manager, Vault).

  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent hands-on experience.
