About the Role

We are seeking an experienced 
Senior Database Administrator

with strong expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL to design, implement, and maintain robust database environments. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Oracle architecture, performance optimization, cloud-based databases, and AWS migration tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and implement 
    Oracle Database
     solutions, including sizing, installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of Oracle environments, including 
    AWR analysis
    , performance tuning, backup/recovery, and capacity planning.
  • Administer and optimize 
    PostgreSQL
     databases.
  • Manage and support 
    AWS RDS
     for Oracle or other database engines.
  • Execute database migrations using 
    AWS DMS
    .
  • Implement improvements for Oracle and PostgreSQL performance and reliability.
  • Provide operational support, including participation in 
    On-Call
     rotation.
  • Work with Linux environments to ensure stable database operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and application teams on database-related initiatives.
  • (Nice to have) Leverage experience with 
    Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
     for cloud-based deployments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of 
    Oracle Database Administration
    .
  • Solid 
    PL/SQL
     skills (not a developer role; moderate knowledge is sufficient).
  • Proven experience in Oracle solution architecture, including installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with 
    PostgreSQL
     administration.
  • Experience with 
    AWS RDS
     (Oracle preferred) and AWS cloud environments.
  • Practical knowledge of 
    Linux
    .
  • Experience with 
    AWS DMS
     or other database migration tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize database performance.
  • Willingness to participate in 
    OnCall
     support.
