Position: Global eCommerce Director (Premium Consumer Goods)

Location: Poland / Hybrid

Company & position overview:

On behalf of our Client, a fast-growing portfolio company of a Private Equity Fund, operating in the premium Consumer Goods sector we are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Global eCommerce Director.

The company has established a strong international footprint, selling its premium products through both owned DTC online stores and leading global marketplaces including Amazon, eBay, Rakuten, Shopee, Alibaba, and Allegro. With ambitious growth plans supported by the Investment Fund, the business is entering its next scaling phase, requiring world-class leadership in digital commerce.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Global eCommerce Director will be responsible for defining and executing the company's global eCommerce strategy. This includes driving online sales growth across all platforms, full P&L ownership, and oversight of digital marketing activities to strengthen customer acquisition, retention, and brand positioning.

This is a high-impact, board-level role with significant influence on the company's international expansion journey.

Scope of duties:

• Develop and implement the global eCommerce strategy across DTC online stores and international marketplaces.
• Drive sales growth, profitability, and customer experience excellence in all eCommerce channels.
• Take full ownership of eCommerce P&L, ensuring achievement of revenue, margin, and ROI targets.
• Oversee global digital marketing efforts (performance marketing, SEO/SEM, CRM, affiliate, social, and influencer activations) to maximize traffic, conversion, and retention.
• Optimize performance on global marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Rakuten, Shopee, Alibaba, Allegro), including product listings, content, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
• Lead DTC store development, user experience optimization, and digital merchandising to strengthen direct customer relationships.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, IT, and Operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment, logistics efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Implement robust analytics and reporting frameworks to track KPIs, customer behavior, and campaign performance.
• Stay ahead of eCommerce trends, new platforms, and technological innovations to support global expansion.
• Build and manage a high-performing digital team, fostering expertise in eCommerce, analytics, and online marketing.
• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Supervisory Board, contributing to long-term scaling and international growth plans.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in eCommerce leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a global or regional scope.
• Proven track record in managing DTC eCommerce stores and marketplaces (Amazon is essential; additional marketplaces highly valued).
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
• Solid P&L management experience, with demonstrated success in delivering profitable online growth.
• Background in consumer goods, preferably in premium or lifestyle categories.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational execution.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in Private Equity-backed or fast-scaling companies will be a strong asset.
• Fluent in English.
