What's the position?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly growing technology team, responsible for continuous growth and support of an unrivaled betting experience for millions of sports fans everywhere. We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who will bring their creativity and experience to Hard Rock Bet to help us build software with a spark of magic. This is a role that works closely with Product Management, Design, QA, and Backend Engineering to deliver client facing and backoffice web applications. The candidate should have experience in

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in an agile, cross functional, team working to deliver the best possible platform experience on multiple platforms
  • Develop and maintain high-performance Web Applications used by clients, operations staff management.
  • Work with Engineering Managers and Product Owners to refine user stories
  • Develop frontend code to a high standard
  • Perform Code Reviews for other developers
  • Collaborate with Backend Developers and Architects to design APIs and solve technical challenges
  • Support Testers, Product and Release Management to move development items to production
  • Communicate effectively and pro-actively in English with Engineering Managers and other Stakeholders

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a frontend engineer who is willing to tackle problems with innovative ideas and quality technical implementations. We believe the perfect candidate isn't interested in just what we're building right now, but wants to understand where we're going and how it impacts the customer to ensure everything we create moves us closer to our goal: delivering the best customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years frontend development experience, including strong expertise
  • Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS knowledge
  • Experience with state management tools (MobX, Redux, etc.)
  • Strong grasp of REST, GraphQL, and WebSocket integrations

  • Experience building secure, performant, user-centric applications

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledgeable in aspects of the software development lifecycle, including application development, application structure, device and operation system APIs, debugging, performance, security, and deployment
  • Knowledge and understanding of client-server development, and proven architect skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing
  • Familiarity with Webpack, Enzyme, and modern testing libraries
  • Prior experience in gaming, sportsbook, or other high-traffic, regulated environments
  • Exposure to full-stack development or backend APIs
