Kraków, Lesser Poland Taskize Limited Pełny etat

Job Title: Product Owner

Location: Krakow (Remote) Reports to: Head of Product Department: Product

The Opportunity

Taskize is a high-growth, London-based fintech transforming the financial services industry. We are looking for a Product Owner with a problem-solving mindset to join our team.

As Taskize scales and explores new opportunities such as leveraging AI, we need to grow the Product team to meet the needs. We are now looking for a dynamic Product Owner to take ownership of our delivery streams. Whether your strength lies in technical API integrations, intuitive User Interfaces, insightful analytics or pragmatic AI, your core mission is the same: to translate complex problems into high-value, shippable software.

We are looking for a proactive professional who values autonomy and wants to make a tangible impact. You will join a friendly and supportive environment where your contributions are valued, and your professional growth is encouraged. You will work autonomously to drive the execution of our roadmap, partnering closely with Engineering while freeing up Product Managers to focus on long-term strategy.

Mission

To own the tactical execution of the product roadmap. You will bridge the gap between the high-level vision defined by Product Managers and the technical reality of our Engineering teams. You will ensure we are not just building things right, but building the right things that deliver measurable value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Leadership: Champion the Agile Scrum process, actively participating in and facilitating key ceremonies (Stand-ups, Refinement, Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) to ensure rhythm, focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the Delivery: Take full responsibility for the quality and pace of the scrum team's output. You should strive to remove blockers, provide necessary clarification, and be the decision-maker for the development team.
  • Efficient Delivery Management: Drive efficiency by intelligently scoping and grouping work. You will look for pragmatic opportunities to resolve bugs or technical debt alongside related feature development to minimise context switching and maximise the value delivered in every sprint.
  • Prioritisation & Deadline Management: Manage conflicting priorities and deliver against tight deadlines. You must be able to balance immediate business pressures with long-term roadmap goals, making clear, evidence-based trade-offs to ensure the team delivers value on time without compromising quality.
  • Problem Solving over Ticket Writing: Actively review and challenge requirements to ensure they are deeply understood and the "Why" behind a feature is communicated and the "How" is viable, using data and feedback to validate decisions.
  • Global Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with our remote-first and distributed engineering teams. You must be comfortable managing communication asynchronously and ensuring clarity across different locations.
  • Backlog Management: Maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog. Ensure User Stories are "Ready" well in advance, with clear acceptance criteria that account for the complexity of our workflows.
  • Versatile Execution: Depending on the project, you may be defining the behaviour of a new AI-driven module, mapping out a complex API integration, or refining a UI workflow.
  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Act as the primary translation layer between the business (Sales, Client Experience, Account Management) and Technology.
  • Continuous Improvement: We are an organisation in evolution. We expect you to identify inefficiencies in our processes and suggest improvements to help the team work smarter.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in a software environment, with solid practical experience working within Agile Scrum frameworks.
  • Adaptability & Learning: A strong ability to learn complex domains quickly. Having experience in Capital Markets is advantageous, but having intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic to master the subject matter is core to the role.
  • Autonomy: You are comfortable working with ambiguity and can drive projects forward without constant supervision.
  • Data-Driven: You look for evidence (usage stats, client feedback, ROI) to support your prioritisation.
  • Detail-Oriented: You have high standards for quality and catch edge cases others miss.

Desirable

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in Financial Services, particularly Capital Markets or Post-Trade operations.
  • Remote Experience: Previous experience working effectively with Offshore/Nearshore development teams.
  • Technical Versatility: Technical understanding of APIs and system integrations, or an interest in AI/ML product applications.

Why Taskize?

  • The Best of Both Worlds: We offer the agility, speed, and innovation of a high-growth FinTech, backed by the stability and global reach of Euroclear.
  • Global Impact: You aren't just building software; you are creating an enhanced collaboration for the financial industry. Your work directly improves efficiency for operations teams in over 600 banks across 75 countries.
  • A "Top 1%" Culture: We are proud to be recognised as a "Top 1% Workplace" and a "Top 100 Influential FinTech." We value low ego, high trust, and open communication—where your voice matters in shaping strategy, not just executing it.
  • Hybrid & Flexible: Taskize is a remote-first company that is based in the heart of the City of London.
