The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with a solid grasp of MERN/MEAN stack technologies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative software solutions and will have the opportunity to grow their leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust software solutions in line with Oliver Wyman's strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, contributing to the mentoring of junior staff.
  • Uphold high standards of code quality and participate in the establishment of best practices.
  • Stay informed and share information about technological trends to enhance the team's capabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelorâs degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Portfolio of completed projects can be considered as the alternative to the formal education.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on MERN/MEAN Stack technologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Express.js, Angular, SQL and NoSQL DBâs.
  • Experience with GitHub for version control and CI/CD.
  • Good understanding of system design, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Camunda would be a plus.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide guidance to and mentor junior engineers.
  • Fluent English
  • Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
  • Capacity to take on supervisory responsibilities in project tasks and support team leads.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and learning.
