In a nutshell

The role would support marketing team in all Finance aspects of our Eur 20m+ annual marketing investment in acquiring and retaining customers as well as business cases and financial support for changes in price structure and financial products offered by IPFD. A key part of this role will be to support decisions we are making and improving the efficiency of our marketing budget, ensuring we are getting the best possible outcome from our biggest P&L expense item.

In the essence Senior Finance Business Partner is a leader that is able to:

  • provide support and necessary insight for discussion with key stakeholders (SMT, Country Managers) about marketing performance, marketing costs and efficiencies, promotions and pricing strategy
  • recommend changes in the business, advise others what to do when necessary;
  • guide markets how to adjust the business, how to improve marketing effectiveness;
  • take the responsibility for KPI delivery.
  • C-level stakeholder management

Your main daily tasks:

  • Finance business partnering for IPFD Marketing and Sales Teams (Marketing Director, Sales Director and Country Managers)
  • To proactively find new and innovative ways to analyze and improve the efficiency of Marketing spend and therefore reduce customer acquisition and retention costs. The role will get deep into the economics and analytics of our various media investments, acquisition channels and partners across all markets and identify where we are getting good value for money so we can invest more and where we are not getting a good return so we can spend less.
  • Ongoing finance support to the IPFD Sales and Marketing Directors.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing Directors to create and develop proper financial models and workflows for lending and sales forecasting.
  • Drive the discussion about the results during monthly reviews with key stakeholders. Interpret the financial results (marketing and sales performance). Provide variance analysis and guide key stakeholders on how to adjust operations to improve the current performance or make it more efficient.
  • Develop the customer's life-time value analysis. Be the key person in finance to drive the discussion about the life-time value (LTV) of IPFD's customers. Coordinate the communication and conclusions resulting from the LTV project.

Other:

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders within the digital SMT team
  • Staying up to date with new initiatives and commercial developments within the business, working closely with a range of functions, to ensure appropriate recommendations

So, what skills, knowledge and experience do you have?

Qualification


• Educated to Degree level in accounting/ finance, economics, or management subject


• Recognized accounting qualification ACA / CIMA / ACCA (ideal)

Skills

  • Ability to analyze and interpret information in order to provide recommendations
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent financial modelling skills, being able to design new reports from scratch.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent MS Excel skills (VBA skills would be of additional benefit)
  • Good
  • SQL skills would be of additional benefit
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and spoken) skills and the ability to articulate thoughts and solutions in a logical manner, with the ability to build relationships within the business and the broader international group, as well as deal with a wide range of audiences both internally and externally requiring

Knowledge

  • Regulated and not-regulated lending operations experience (Finance/Banking sector – must have)
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling methodologies
  • Knowledge of presenting budget insight to a range of stakeholders across the business
  • Knowledge of actual performance insight to a range of stakeholders across the business

Experience

  • Experience of 5 years+ in financal sector (must have).
  • Relevant international finance experience, with experience of multi-site consumer related businesses.
  • Experience of working on agile development projects and being able to manage multiple streams of work to time and budget.
