For our client - BETFAN - one of the rapidly growing gambling operators in Poland, we are looking for an ambitious leader for the Head of Product position.

At BETFAN, we believe that bookmakers are creating a new entertainment market for sports fans, focusing on accessibility for as many Players as possible, speed, as well as the social aspect (including responsible gaming) and brand recognition.

Our Players primarily use mobile platforms, and personalization and trust are crucial for their retention. We are also aware that a revolution related to artificial intelligence algorithms is ahead of us. We do not want to passively observe it.

Location - Warsaw.

Job Description

  • Excellent understanding of the company's business model, its strategy, and goals, and then translating it into a product strategy.
  • Providing direction and goals to the product team, following the assumptions of the product strategy.
  • Ensuring the achievement of these goals by the team led by themselves.
  • Building a team composed of product managers and designers, including:
    ○ searching for and hiring the best professionals available on the market,
    ○ developing their competencies and effectiveness,
    ○ monitoring the results of their work.
  • Creating an environment that enables product managers to perform their work as effectively as possible - e.g., by creating, optimizing, or reducing processes.
  • Ensuring the appropriate quality of product discovery, so that the basis for product development are the needs and problems of Players, the solution of which will bring the company the right business value.
  • Ongoing cooperation with the Management and key stakeholders to ensure smooth, cross-functional collaboration, as well as a free flow of information, ideas, and needs.
  • Ensuring the achievement of appropriate business results, expressed in KPIs.
  • Developing good cooperation with the engineering team to smoothly and regularly deliver value to our Players and our organization.
  • Driving product development in line with BETFAN's brand DNA - thereby building a unique entertainment character that we deliver to Players.

Requirements

  • Min. 5 years of experience as an effective product manager, developing a product that has achieved market success.
  • Min. 2 years of experience in a position related to managing a product team consisting of product managers.
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and deduce based on data and insights to make informed decisions.
  • Experience in leading comprehensive projects.
  • Higher education in business, engineering, etc.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level.

Preferred:

  • Interest in sports.
  • Knowledge of the bookmaking and/or gambling, gaming, or financial industry.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops.
