We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Managing Director to join our team in the Warsaw region in Poland. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial functions and growing businesses in an international matrix environment. You will bring extensive experience in the manufacturing industry and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new business opportunities, client relationships and cultivate a continuous improvement mindset towards growth and development within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong growth strategy for the region, in alignment with the company objectives
  • Spearhead profitable expansion and fortify market presence within the region, assuming accountability for profit and loss
  • Take charge of sub-regional operations to fulfil both short and long-term financial and operational aims
  • Supervise project initiatives and services, ensuring meticulous planning and execution
  • Solicit and analyze customer feedback while assessing market dynamics and competitors
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging business prospects to drive growth
  • Uphold the core values of the organization, emphasizing safety, diversity, equity, and sustainability
  • Lead and develop teams, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Leverage internal platforms for streamlined operations
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts and acknowledge noteworthy achievements

Qualifications:

  • Experience as Managing Director, Sales Director or similar within an manufacturing matrix organization
  • Minimum 5 years in Sales with a strong track record in driving business growth
  • Engineering degree or similar, MBA is an advantage
  • Demonstrated P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and business metrics
  • Strong leadership expertise with a focus on empowerment, fostering talent development, and navigating change management
  • Willingness to undertake travel up to 40-50 %
  • Fluency in both English and Polish language (min. C1) – any additional language is advantageous
