Role Description

Are you ready to navigate the complex world of legal and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry? Join us as the Legal and Compliance Manager at LEO Pharma and become a trusted business partner for our Rest of World business unit.

Your Role:

As our new Legal and Compliance Manager, you'll act as a true business partner across a variety of markets e.g. Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and potentially Russia by providing expert legal advice and fostering a culture of compliance.

In this role, you will support the business with strong legal advice paired with a sound business understanding and pragmatic mindset. You will be trusted with responsibility and freedom to perform, which requires a structured work approach, and as part of this, you know when to ask for support and guidance to keep things in motion. In addition, you will consult and oversee various ethics and compliance topics within the markets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic legal guidance to the leadership teams of the markets in scope
  • Leading cross-functional and business-oriented problem solving
  • Drafting and negotiating crucial business agreements, providing strategic and legal advice during negotiations and beyond
  • Handle and resolve disputes, offering guidance on how to manage potential conflicts
  • Implementing and overseeing LEO Pharma's anti-corruption program within the mentioned countries
  • Rolling out compliance initiatives, including global policies

You will also contribute to knowledge sharing, training, and coordination within the Rest of World Legal & Compliance team, ensuring a uniform approach and adoption of best practices.

Your Qualifications

We seek a candidate who embodies the legal process and strategic thinking pivotal to our operations, with:

  • A Law degree and a Master's in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant Compliance field
  • 3+ years of experience in legal, compliance, and risk management
  • Certifications in Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit (valued but not essential)
  • Proficiency in English, with additional language skills very beneficial
  • A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, a result-oriented mindset, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic and truly international environment

Rest of World Legal & Compliance is a small and dedicated team based in Denmark, Brazil and Poland within the greater Global Legal & Compliance organisation, counting approximately 50 experts. We value a pro-active and pragmatic approach to our work while emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive and enjoyable work environment.
