RTR Operation Manager

Your responsibilities

The purpose of the role is maintained ensures the delivery of high quality and cost-effective service and oversees the in-scope R2R processes. The position is a part of Finance – Accounting department in East (Poland). The person will be report directly to Accounting, Reporting and Control Director.

Your responsibilities will include:

Manage the end-to-end Record to Report process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert on complex Record to Report topics.

Ensures timely reporting for Group, Management and statutory purposes.

Is responsible for leading the team, motivating, assigning work and complex problem identification and resolution.

Is the first point of escalation for the in-scope Record to Report processes related issues.

Focuses on continuous development of business relationships with Business Units and Group Finance functions.

Managing a service delivery in R2R domain for all or part of the following processes: General Accounting and Period End Close, Fixed Assets and Capital Project Accounting, Treasury and Intercompany Accounting, Process related query and audit handling, Account Reconciliation and Reporting activities.

Ensuring accurate delivery of R2R operational and dashboard reporting as per the agreed timelines and formats

Ensuring all activities for month-end close are completed within company month-end close deadline.

Supervising a highly performing General Ledger team with up to 20 team members, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management and professional development.

Managing the team to deliver high quality, professional and proactive day to day service to the Business Units, within the agreed SLAs and deadlines.

Collaborating with other functions (e.g. FP&A and Retained Accounting) to identify and implement synergies

Prioritizing the workload according to requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Reviewing journal postings and GL account reconciliation.

Communicating problems or discrepancies to the Business Units in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensuring that the desktop procedures (DTPs) are updated periodically and the DTPs are followed by the team members diligently for executing the processes.

Working closely with Process Excellence teams to drive strategic direction of the LSC regarding continuous improvement and process transformation.

Supporting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives e.g. process standardization and business efficiencies, with the aim to lower cost, improve service and reduce compliance risk.

Performing routine internal control reviews in line with the company policies and procedures.

Is responsible for ensuring compliance with external financial reporting requirements including US GAAP and local statutory tax and statutory laws & regulations for the Region.

Acting as the single point of contact for more complex queries and escalations and routinely communicates with senior leaders in various capacities e.g. SOX, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Retained Accounting, Business Operations, etc.

Our requirements

  • Master's degree in finance and accounting or related fields
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in F&A
  • Proven experience in R2R, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in team management
  • Energetic and supportive leadership style
  • Experience with working in the international team
  • Experience of building a team and creating a culture of continuous improvement
  • Great team builder that leads through example and a hands-on engagement style
  • Strong Analytical mind with business acumen
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • In-depth knowledge of R2R performance metrics
  • Fluency in Polish and English is required
