Requirements

1. Service & Client management

  • Establishing, overseeing, and maintaining Service Level Agreements for the Tax Department, defining responsibilities between clients and BSC TAX
  • Developing short and long-term strategies for the Tax & Customs department, including TOM (target operating model), future migrations, growth opportunities, etc.
  • Active participation in the migration of tax and customs documentation responsibilities from local entities to BSC
  • Overall process management focusing on quality, efficiency, and cost control (e.g. billing verification)
  • Being the primary point of contact with clients and group tax departments, facilitating regular and ad-hoc discussions and escalations

2. Tax & Customs documentation team management

  • Providing technical support to team members (5 tax analysts and 2 customs documentation specialists), assisting with complex queries and tasks, verifying intricate declarations and calculations, etc.
  • Ensuring local tax compliance (CIT, VAT, and other taxes) and accuracy of tax settlements in relevant countries
  • Coordinating external tax advisory for Company entities under shared service center
  • Supporting process migrations to BSC
  • Supervising and fostering the professional growth of Tax & Customs documentation department staff (operational tasks, HR, goal setting)
  • Establishing and overseeing backup structures and managing access to tax portals

Expectations

MUST-HAVE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting and/or tax experience
  • At least 2 years of team management experience
  • Solid understanding of Polish tax and accounting regulations
  • Readiness to work with foreign regulations (assisted by local accounting offices) in an international setting
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English (B2 level)

GOOD TO HAVE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) SKILLS

  • Basic understanding of customs processes
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Knowledge of German
  • Experience in SSC sector and process migrations
