Offer Description

Post-doc candidate for the NCN OPUS project "Research on microwave gas sensors based on selected metal oxides - theoretical and experimental analysis" 2021/41/B/ ST7/00276 will be involved in the research project Research on microwave gas sensors based on selected metal oxides - theoretical and experimental analysis granted by the National Science Centre Poland. The main goal of the project is to develop a microwave-based gas sensor array, where the gas-sensitive layer will be based on the selected metal oxides, mostly deposited by the magnetron sputtering technology, therefore the post-doc should have the knowledge and experience in different deposition techniques, e.g. chemical vapor deposition, sol-gel, thermal/hydrothermal deposition, and/or other materials used as gas-sensitive layers, such as phthalocyanines. Additionally, the knowledge of FTIR analysis including both measurement techniques and spectra analysis of FTIR signals.

Skills/Qualifications

a minimum of 1 year of post-doctoral experience, programming skills in Phyton, C++, C#', scientific and organizational achievements, active participation in conferences and symposia, PhD in automatics, electronics, electrotechnics and space technologies, well-documented knowledge of gas sensors including both preparation and measurements, well-documented knowledge of gas-sensing measurements, knowledge of FTIR analysis including theoretical and practical applications, knowledge of FTIR/Raman spectroscopy, experience in optical spectrum analysis, gas detection, signal analysis, metrology, electronics, physics.

Specific Requirements

ability to work in group, analytical approach to defining scientific questions, Design of scientifically testable hypotheses, Broad-based and cross-disciplinary knowledge acquisition, Detailed knowledge of the specific discipline.

contract for 7 months with the possibility of extension
