Job DescriptionAs a Senior Tech Lead within Devoteam CMS, you will be part of a unit of highly skilled individuals. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership while supporting systems and customers, automation in Terraform, implementation of the best practices for monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and load testing of cloud-native applications running on Google Cloud Platform. You will also contribute to internal tools, processes and offering development.
You will have to develop a broad knowledge base of common cloud solutions, interact with customers and support your junior team members.
It's a customer-facing role, so you must be outgoing and confident in your ability to interact with clients, manage workshops and execute necessary training on your own.
Primary daily responsibilities:
- Act as a technical leader of Google Squad within Cloud Managed Services organization
- Provide guidance on best practices for monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and load testing of cloud-native applications running on Google Cloud Platform
- Support the team to deliver top-notch and innovative managed services in Google Cloud
- Third-line engineering support for Managed Services customers by answering questions on their environment, running playbooks and having a deep understanding of Google Cloud products and how it can impact their systems
- Contribute to the RFIs for GCP Managed Services
Secondary responsibilities:
- Proposing viable long term, cost-effective cloud solutions for customers
- Developing (script and code) solutions for customers
- Delivering technical training and workshops for customers and team members
- Contributing to the development of managed services offerings
- Suggesting and developing our own products and services based on GCP
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Terraform
- Experience in one or more development languages, such as Python, Go, or Bash
- Experience in scripting and configuration of Linux and Windows systems
- Experience in API, REST, RPC and microservices design
- Experience with technologies like Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence/Hunting, IAM, Workload Protection, Encryption
- Practical experience from Public Cloud Managed Service Provider will be a big asset
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in producing design documents, such as UML diagrams and network layouts
- Practical experience with designing and implementation of public cloud landing zones
- Google Cloud Platform Professional Architect Certification
- Previous experience in managed services organization
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices
In 2021, Devoteam acquired assets in Cloud Managed Services to extend its
offering from designing and building to include operating Cloud environments.
After successful integration and winning more and more large customers in the
course of 2022, Devoteam wants to scale out the Cloud Managed Services
offerings to all the countries, and to all Cloud strategic partners (AWS, Google,
Microsoft). Starting with Microsoft, the organization will integrate in its service
portfolio AWS and Google services, to be able to deliver multicloud capabilities to
its customers.
