Responsibilities

The role consists of managing the development and the maintenance of the Back Office system and its interfaces with all the Société Générale's ecosystem (accounting, risk, datalake, etc.). This software is a global application deployed in multiple international places. As a versatile Technical Leader in IT, you will oversee all aspects of the technical environment within your team, from business analysis to production.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis and Solution Design
  • Work closely with teams in France, India, and Poland to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Agile Delivery, Quality Assurance and Hands-On Development
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement
  • Collaborative Technical Design
  • Mentorship and Capacity Building
  • Technical Integration and Architecture
  • Technical Maintenance
  • Technical Leadership
  • Advocate for and support Technical Chapter initiatives
Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in a position related to Software Engineering

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • French is a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Technical knowledge:
    • Java language (target)
    • API (target)
    • Java frameworks: spring, springboot, springbatch
    • Angular
    • Micro-services
    • Nice to have: Cobol language & Mainframe (legacy)
  • CI/CD tools: Github, Jenkins, Sonar, Docker
    • Nice to have: Kubernetes & Helm
  • Development methodology / Craftmanship and knowledge of Agile development practices
  • Open to explore other technologies (Java will remain the primary one)
  • Leadership skills
  • High analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with flexible approach
  • Curiosity
  • Able to work autonomously, take initiatives and challenge & improve legacy
