Offer Description

Łukasiewicz – Krakow Institute of Technology is a part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, one of the largest research networks in Europe. The Centre of Technology Inspired by Nature (CTN) focuses on research and development works in the following areas: renewable energy sources, biofuels and energy storage technologies, implants and biocorrosion, advanced biomaterials and lab-on-chip prototyping as well as biosensors and biomedical devices.

Job Status: Full-time (40 Hours Per Week)

Scope of tasks performed at the workplace:

1. Applying for scientific and research and development projects financed from sources

external (domestic and foreign).

2. Carrying out research work in the field of renewable energy sources and materials

semiconductor.

3. Solving scientific and engineering problems with renewable energy sources

and semiconductor materials.

4. Establishing business contacts with industry in Poland and abroad,

creating scientific cooperation with scientific units in the area

advanced biomaterials and biotechnology

5. Acquiring R&D projects.

6. Dissemination of the results of ongoing research work through publications

scientific and participation in scientific conferences.

7. Preparation of research results to meet the needs of business practice. Participation

in implementation activities and commercialization of developed solutions

technological.

8. Carrying out work in the form of training, technical advice and

developing expert opinions.

Requirements

Research Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalent

Specific Requirements

1. Education: doctoral degree and 2 years of experience in the research and development sector or master's degree and 3 years of experience in the sector

research and development, including participation in the implementation of research projects.

Preferred candidates with a PhD in chemistry or engineering

materials, physics, energy, electrochemistry and related fields.

2. Extensive knowledge of modern materials for applications in

photovoltaics, solar cells, synthesis and characterization of materials

perovskite, etc. supported by publications in scientific journals

and industry.

3. Knowledge of research and analytical methods, e.g. scanning microscopy

electron diffraction, X-ray diffraction and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

4. Knowledge of electrochemical processes is welcome.

5. Knowledge of national and European sources of financing for scientific research and work

development.

6. Highly developed organizational skills.

7. Communication skills, ability to work in a team.

8. Ability to manage time and achieve set goals.
