The Department of Organization and Management announces a competition for the position of assistant professor in the research-teaching position group in the discipline of Management and Quality Science or the discipline of Economics. The person hired for this position will be entrusted with teaching and organizational duties on behalf of the Department of Organization and Management.

Responsibilities:

• teaching full-time first and second degree courses, both in Polish and in English
• improving professional qualifications; carrying out organisational work for the benefit of the Department, the Faculty and the University

Research Field Management sciences Education Level PhD or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

• a doctoral degree in the discipline of Economics
• scientific output in the field of Economics and/or Management and Quality Sciences, confirmed by articles published in international scientific journals within the last five years (at least 4 articles for a minimum of 100 points)
• experience in teaching in the fields of management, economics and law in Polish and English
• experience in the implementation of projects, both at national and international level
• fluency in spoken and written Polish
• fluency in spoken and written English
• knowledge of other foreign languages would be an additional asset

• Self-report containing information about achievements in the field of research activity, teaching experience and organizational activity

a) An information on experience in acquiring research projects, participation in the research work of the unit and collaboration with external partners;

b) An information on experience in reviewing scientific papers (number and type of reviews developed);

c) An information on work in editorial boards of national and international journals;

d) A list of teaching activities carried out (with an indication of the language of these classes);

e) An information on experience in the preparation of teaching materials (textbooks, scripts) and/or laboratory stations, number of promoted graduates, supervision of foreign students;

f) A list of academic and teaching awards and honours;

g) An information on organisational experience (in terms of organising and managing scientific and teaching activities);

h) An information on experience in spreading scientific awareness in society (popular science, technical publications; participation in Science Festival, etc.);

i) An information on the level of proficiency in Polish (in the case of foreigners), English and other languages (certificates);

j) Other important achievements.

a) A list of scientific publications, divided into articles in JCR-listed journals (with the current IF value), articles in non-JCR-listed journals, books and monographs, chapters in books, published conference papers and other publications (indicating output indexed in the Scopus/Web of Science database, having an Impact Factor or with a CiteScore);

b) The number of citations of the candidate's scientific work (without self-citation) and the H-index, according to the Scopus and/or Web of Science database;

c) List of papers and posters at international conferences, workshops and seminars

*If a competition is won by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except for cases specified in Article of the Act), and the employment is not expired by the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector's consent for additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after employing at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If the competition is won by a person who conducts business activity, the requirement of art. 125 sec. 7 of the Act should be met.

The date of receipt of the documents is decisive. The date of receipt of application documents is considered to be 3.30 pmon the day indicated in the information about the competition. Receipt of the documents from the candidate will be confirmed by the assistant/HR assistant via e-mail to the address indicated in the application.

Candidates' applications will be evaluated by the Competition Committee appointed by Dean of the Faculty of Management. After the competition procedure is closed, the applications of persons who have not been accepted for work will be returned, provided that they were sent by traditional mail. People interested in having their documents back will be able to pick them up from the assistant/HR assistant within 6 months after the competition procedure is closed, against acknowledgment of receipt.

The University stipulates that the competition may not be concluded.
