This job can be performed in a hybrid model from Wrocław.

  • Your role:

We are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art resources and information to our global community. The Scientific Library is instrumental in this mission, offering electronic content and a variety of databases to users worldwide. As part of your responsibilities, you will be in charge of managing and organizing the inventory of journals, scientific resources, and standards within the Scientific Library. You will also be responsible for coordinating the procurement process for new additions and renewals, ensuring timely access to essential resources. Your tasks will include overseeing invoice processing and budget management for library acquisitions. Furthermore, you will act as the main point of contact for communication with international publishers and database providers, engaging in contract negotiations and addressing any issues that may arise. Collaboration with internal teams from various departments will be essential to assess information requirements and optimize resource allocation.

Who you are:

Completion of training as a library assistant or possessing 2-3 years of professional experience in a related field.

Proficient in managing scientific resources and electronic media.

Demonstrates strong customer service orientation and enjoys interacting with international library users.

Skilled in working with SAP, ARIBA, and MS-Office.

Capable of working independently with a strong focus on teamwork and communication abilities.

Excellent written and verbal English skills; knowledge of German is a plus.
