About the team:

The Capacity Management team, located in the Service Integration Tribe of the Group Technology Service Division, is organized around 3 main domains: Mainframe and Tandem technologies, Open systems technologies and a transversal domain supporting Business and Service Capacity Management (including the data and reporting infrastructure).

The Capacity Management team is responsible for a full set of activities covering both Capacity and Performance aspects. The team:

  • collects the demand and forecasts the consumption of IT infrastructure
  • handles capacity and performance operations to prevent Capacity and/or Performance incidents to occur
  • is involved in various projects for ensuring applications are rightly sized and well-tuned before going in production


About the role:

You will work as a Capacity Management Expert in the Distributed Technologies Domain. This domain is responsible for the capacity and performance management on these platforms:

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • ESX
  • Distributed Storage (PowerMax, ECS, Cohesity)
  • Network infrastructure

Your main focus area will be on the Open Systems Infrastructure.


Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring of the capacity and performance of the open system platforms
  • Identification and investigation of capacity and performance incidents / problems
  • Collaborate to the publication of the yearly capacity plan and its monthly follow-up
  • Participate to projects to ensure that the capacity process is properly applied
  • Capacity modelling


Requirements:

  • Proven experience with capacity management and performance engineering processes
  • Proven experience with virtualized Windows and/or Linux systems on ESX or AHV
  • Experience with one or more of the following tools:
  • Perfmon
  • Linux PCP
  • Splunk
  • VMware vSphere Client
  • Nutanix PRISM
  • Dynatrace
  • Good knowledge about one or more of our storage systems: PowerMax, ECS, Cohesity
  • Good knowledge of SQL language, Excel, REST API
  • Good English communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Collaborative mind-set


Nice to have:

  • Agile and DevOps experience
  • Cloud capacity management (Azure)
  • Network infrastructure knowledge
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

About the Team

Group Technology Services (GTS) plans, builds and runs the global infrastructure of Euroclear, and is additionally responsible for the IT service management to the operating entities of the various Group markets. Group Technology Services operates its IT systems and IT services in such a way that, at an appropriate and benchmarked cost level, it can deliver the agreed levels of service to support the requirements of the business processes, for both normal operations and during disaster recovery.
