About Our Client
The Regional Operations Director will oversee the production and supply chain operations for several plants located in two key locations in Europe, specialising in the manufacturing of hygiene products. This role is critical for developing and implementing operational strategies to meet business goals, optimising processes, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. The Regional Operations Director will also cooperate closely with the plant managers to ensure seamless and effective management of all operational aspects.
Job Description
Oversee the entire production process to ensure high-quality output and efficiency.Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to optimise production work-flows.Manage and optimise the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to streamline operations.Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency's.Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost control and optimisation of operational expenditures.Analyse financial reports and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Utilise data and metrics to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.Lead, mentor, and develop plant managers and their teams to foster a culture of excellence.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to support continuous improvement. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the manufacturing industry, specifically in the hygienic products sector or a similar field. Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.Proven leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to analyse data and metrics to drive operational improvements.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Fluency in English; proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage.Willingness to travel within the region as required.
