Finance Partner - Corporate Costs and Employee Benefits

We have a new role for a Finance Partner - Corporate Costs and Employee Benefits on a full-time permanent basis.

The role is responsible for ensuring the Group accounts include all the defined benefit pension schemes and other post-employment benefit costs appropriately. In addition, will be in charge of ensuring that the Group's share-based payment schemes are correctly valued, recorded and reported in the Group financial statements. These arrangements are sizeable complex schemes.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Corporate costs
  • Ownership for the corporate 'sundry' P/L in terms of reporting, planning, and forecasting. The key items are Share based payments, audit fees, pensions and insurance costs.
  • Responsible for the monthly financial close and submission of the Group's sundry cost including variance analysis to show MTD, QTD & YTD movements against Actuals and Plan and latest CMF.
  • Responsible for quarterly EPS calculation and reporting.
Share based payments
  • Primarily responsible for the calculation of the monthly Share based payment charges for the Group as per IFRS2. Also responsible to provide forecasts on SBP expenses as per Group's planning calendar (CMF/ ABP/ LRP).
  • Provide annual disclosure for Group Annual report on share based payments as per IFRS2.
Pensions
  • Pension accounting under IFRS (e.g. IAS 19, IFRC 14);
  • Provide ad-hoc pension accounting advice to local subsidiaries as required;
  • Liaise with the Group actuaries during the quarterly and annual reporting cycles to agree scope for external review of in-country valuation updates and to subsequently ensure these valuations are appropriately recorded by the Group's entities.
  • Quarterly reporting of IAS 19 and assets/liabilities from the sponsoring employer's perspective; liaising with Group Actuary as needed.
  • Provide annual disclosure for Group Annual report on pensions as per IAS19.
Other responsibilities
  • Managing SOX controls for the area.
  • Point of contact for technical queries in relation to IFRS2 - Share based payment.
  • Improve current and proposed ways of working along with any ad hoc project activities as required from time to time.
Why you?

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, with specific experience in corporate costs, share-based payments, and pensions accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 2 for share-based payments and IAS 19 for pensions accounting.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls and experience in managing SOX compliance within financial reporting processes.
  • Experience in managing complex financial reporting processes, preferably in a multinational corporation setting.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail in financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
