For our Finance Team we are currently looking for the Accounts Payable Team Leader.
We are looking for AP Team Lead to join our team in Katowice, to lead a team of AP professionals, ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. The AP Team Lead will also be responsible for implementing and improving AP processes, enforcing compliance with financial policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals.
Responsibilities in this role will be:
Team Leadership:
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Accounts Payable professionals. Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.Invoice Processing:
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Review and approve payment batches, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Resolve escalated issues related to invoice discrepancies or payment delays.Vendor Management:
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders.Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve AP processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline workflows. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization.Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Prepare and analyze AP-related reports, providing insights to management. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments such as Procurement, Finance, and Treasury to achieve overall organizational goals. Collaborate with IT to implement and optimize AP systems (D365).Training and Development:
Provide training to team members on new processes, systems, and policies. Support professional development and skills enhancement within the Accounts Payable team.We are looking for you to have:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. Several years of experience in accounts payable, with a proven track record of leadership. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and AP best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
