At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. Every day, 74,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Industrial Quality Manager in Katowice we’re looking for?

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Lukasz (Quality Director based in Katowice) and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.

  •

As the Industrial Quality Manager in the relevant workshop, you will work closely with the team to ensure that all quality requirements are met and to optimize the manufacturing processes. By doing so, you will contribute to the achievements of customer satisfaction, business goals, and continuous improvements.

We'll look to you for:

  • Managing Industrial Quality activities in the relevant workshop (IQ team, processes, and KPIs).
  • Stopping production in case of defects that justify mandatory rework, noncoformities management & problems solving
  • Participating in or delegating customer joint inspections and FMEA process definition.
  • Building, implementing, and regularly updating Quality Control Plans based on REX (REturn of eXperience) of previous project executions.
  • Ensuring customer approval, validation of documents, and compliance of manufactured products before shipping.
  • Performing line quality animation with cross-functional teams.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in quality engineering and quality control in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the railway industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and processes, such as ISO 9001, and knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team and liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality-related software.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our hybrid working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning (leadership trainings, soft skills pieces of training, signalling-related trainings, job-related trainings, language e-learning platform for multiple languages)
  • Progress towards senior positions
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, sports card)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you

Important to note
