Our Global Accounting team is growing and we are actively seeking a new team member to join our dynamic group.

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be part of our Global Accounting team that is responsible for ensuring that all internal and external reporting requirements are met and day-to-day operations specifically closing and consolidation of domestic and foreign subsidiaries are running. The AP Accountant will adhere to accounting governance plans and processes to timely generate accounting information and reporting requirements, and ensure the quality of financial information.

 The ideal candidate for this position will reside in Europe (CET time zone).

 

What you’ll do:

  • Careful review, account assignment, and posting of national and international business transactions in the area of accounts payable using our SAP workflow, taking into account the legal requirements (IFRS if applicable)
  • Clarification and reconciliation of accounts payable as well as creation and review of OPOS lists in SAP S4/Hana, including correspondence with suppliers as well as internal and external stakeholders to clarify open issues
  • Review and posting of travel costs, expenses, and (virtual) credit cards
  • Posting of intercompany transactions
  • Supporting the General Ledger Team

Requirements

  • A successfully completed commercial apprenticeship or a comparable qualification
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in an accounts payable role
  • You are familiar with electronic invoice verification systems and are not afraid to lend a hand in day-to-day operations
  • You love challenges, like to take on responsibility, and do not lose your structured way of working and your eye for the essentials even in challenging situations
  • You have good communication skills and work successfully in a team
  • You can work independently and accurately
  • Fluent English is required
