Job Description:

We enable efficient, scalable and repeatable release management operations for the majority of IT initiatives.

As a Release Manager, you will ensure new releases to our payment technology platforms and applications are planned and executed efficiently, with high quality for customers and operations, in compliance with our standards.

You will work with multiple stakeholders including other Release managers, Test managers, Product owners, Execution leads, Scrum Masters, Operations teams, etc. to secure safe and successful delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, plan and maintain the release roadmap for one or more applications.
  • Release and deployment planning and coordination of multiple parallel releases.
  • Plan release go live and post-go-live activities.
  • Plan, coordinate and track change activities throughout the release process.
  • Lead release decision meetings to secure stakeholder approval for each release milestone.
  • Plan and set up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams.
  • Increase release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities and DevOps ways of working to release orchestration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in IT or related disciplines.
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills with great coordination and planning abilities.
  • Attention to detail, ability to maintain an overview to deliver commitments and dependencies to others.
  • Accountability, proactivity and ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility to work paid evenings and weekends for implementation of events.
  • Practical understanding of Agile, Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
Description of Knowledge and Experience:
  • IT project management and planning skills (7+ years).
  • Previous experience in release or deployment management activities (preferably from the banking sector).
  • Experience working with incident, problem and change management tools and processes under the ITIL framework.
  • Confident working with Project Management tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
  • Experience working at the intersection of IT and business, with a solid understanding of business aspects.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps ways of working.
  • Extraordinary communication skills and fundamental technical knowledge to communicate with development teams and create & validate deployment runbooks in collaboration with the team.
