Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the month-end and year-end close process, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and posting to the general ledger. This role also involves managing communication with international outsourcing teams and coordinating closing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process month-end and year-end close procedures
  2. Reconcile balance sheet accounts to the general ledger
  3. Post monthly journal entries
  4. Provide monthly reporting comparing actual results to budgeted projections
  5. Assist in developing budgets
  6. Support daily accounting functions
  7. Perform bank reconciliations
  8. Manage accounts receivable and payable activity with international teams
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems is a plus.

Safety Requirements

The team member is required to wear eye protection when performing work duties that may pose a risk to their health or safety. The company provides personal protective equipment (PPE) and requires employees to report any damaged or lost PPE to their manager. To ensure facility safety, all employees must maintain up-to-date HAZMAT, OSHA, RCRA, Methylene Chloride, and General Laboratory Safety training as defined within the POLARIS Quality System.
