As our Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), you will drive our compliance strategy, ensuring full adherence to Polish and EU regulations, including the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). You will lead the Transaction Monitoring & KYC teams, proactively mitigating risks while fostering a strong relationship with the Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego (KNF) and other regulatory bodies.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Develop and implement a robust compliance program aligned with Polish regulations and MiCA requirements.
  2. Serve as the primary contact for KNF and other regulatory bodies, ensuring transparent and proactive communication.
  3. Monitor regulatory developments and advise senior management on necessary adjustments to business practices.
  4. Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, reports, and audits as required.
  5. Ensure compliance with AMLD5/AMLD6, GDPR, and other relevant EU and international regulations.
  6. Oversee the Transaction Monitoring Department, ensuring that suspicious activity is identified, investigated, and reported in a timely manner.
  7. Oversee the KYC Department, ensuring robust onboarding processes, enhanced due diligence (EDD) measures, and risk-based approaches are implemented effectively.
  8. Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.
  9. Act as the MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) if required.

What we're looking for:

  1. Strong background in regulatory engagement, including dealing with financial regulators and law enforcement.
  2. Knowledge of MiCA, AMLD5/6, GDPR, FATF guidelines, and Polish regulatory requirements (KNF, NBP, FIU).
  3. Experience leading Transaction Monitoring and KYC/AML teams in a regulated environment.
  4. Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  5. Fluency in Polish (both written and spoken) is a must.
