Position Summary

Bentley is looking for a talented multilingual (English and German) individual to become a valued member of our Global Technical Support Team. We will rely on you for the following:

  1. Resolving users' application questions or problems in the areas of software configurations/setup, product functionality, and bugs/enhancements.
  2. Encouraging engagement of users, partners, and colleagues in Bentley forums and communities.
  3. Enabling successful user outcomes through proactive support (User Advancement Program).
  4. Building a strong relationship with the user to become a "trusted advisor".
  5. Identifying consumption gaps in products and conveying user feedback to the product development team.
  6. Focusing on the adoption of the relevant features of the product set.
  7. Identifying and sharing relevant content with the wider user community.
  8. Serving as primary support liaison between the company and user for urgent support issues.
  9. Keeping users informed of how and when problems are resolved.
  10. Performing follow-up, testing, and troubleshooting of products, responsible for appropriate referral to other support and quality assurance areas.
  11. Promoting and maintaining a high quality, professional, service & adoption-oriented company image among users.
  12. May travel to User sites on occasions.

What You Bring to The Team:

  1. Experience with CAD, modeling, rendering software is required.
  2. Degree in Geospatial technology, Geography/Cartography/GIS or Mechanical/Civil Engineering area.
  3. Interoperability with various commercial software applications; Bentley, ESRI, FME, etc.
  4. Knowledge of spatial database technology; Oracle, SQL Server, Geodatabase, PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
  5. Knowledge of geodesy, coordinate systems, datums, and ellipsoids.
  6. Fluent English plus German with the ability to convey complex technical details.
  7. Ability to resolve technical issues via Community interactions (forums), telephone, e-mail, and Internet chat support.
  8. Strong technical writing skills to create high-quality knowledge content to enable user self-service.
  9. A level of technical knowledge in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
  10. Ability to understand the user's environment to offer the most effective workflow.
  11. Must be self-motivated and proactive, possessing a strong desire to learn.
