Position Description

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in managing payroll processes, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can ensure the highest level of employee service while maintaining compliance with applicable legal regulations.

This role supports the UK, Finland, and Norway markets and provides backup for other EMEA countries.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify and assist the team and employees in resolving payroll-related queries and issues.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all payroll-related data to the external provider.
  3. Analyze payroll data and correct potential errors with the external provider.
  4. Develop and manage a strong relationship with the external provider and other departments, especially HR and Finance.
  5. Participate in payroll-related projects and improvement initiatives.
  6. Handle queries from employees and local authorities on payroll-related issues.
  7. Support other payroll markets within the team during absence periods.
  8. Assist with administration and ad hoc reporting for German payroll in SAP.
Position Requirements
  1. Fluent in English (spoken and written) is essential for collaboration with UK employees, institutions, and international teams.
  2. Basic knowledge (A2/B1) of German required, higher level would be an asset.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the payroll area. Knowledge of UK Payroll would be a plus.
  4. Strong understanding of labor law, social security regulations, and income tax laws (preferably for the UK market).
  5. Knowledge of ADP Streamline and SAP systems would be an advantage.
