Senior Programme and Project Services Manager Kraków

Wholesale Transformation PMO provides support to HSBC's Global Commercial Banking (CMB) strategic change agenda. We act as trusted partners, add value, and provide insight driven data across Portfolios, Programmes and Projects. The role holder is responsible for delivery governance, reporting and adherence to HSBC's Change Framework standards and tooling.

Responsibilities:
  • Excellent working knowledge of HSBC Global Business Transformation Framework and stands as key guardian of it being followed by Portfolio and Programme/Project teams.
  • Leads, tracks, reviews and controls progress and performance at clearly defined points in the process ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget; anticipating potential risks and issues, assisting with putting mitigating actions into place to prevent delivery stalling and escalating as appropriate.
  • Works hand in hand with the Portfolio Leads and/or Programme/Project Teams in defining required scope, quality, cost and effort.
  • Leads and executes the Portfolio control framework effectiveness through automated and manual monitoring.
  • Manages closure activities, including post project review and handover, benefits tracking and Programme/Project quality assurance.
  • Actively engages in Programme/Project resource management; assists new team members to understand the project context and content, the importance of stakeholder management and wider project goals.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with at least 5 years in portfolio and programme/project management role on complex projects across countries or regions.
  • Expertise in the Programme and Project lifecycle; including working knowledge of Project Management methodologies, PMO processes and best practice techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at senior and executive levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Experience with leading meetings in English over video or teleconference.
  • Experience in leading PMO units would be an asset.
  • Agile, PMP or MSP training or certification is an advantage.
