About the Role
Ovoko is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Shipping to collaborate closely with our founders and commercial team. This pivotal role involves shaping and optimizing our shipping processes as we expand into existing and new markets. The position is crucial for our business due to the scale of our market, the complexity of our product, and its significant impact on our growth and revenue. If you are an expert in this area and thrive on challenges, this role is for you

Daily Responsibilities:
Lead shipping operations
Manage fulfillment processes
Create and implement shipment strategies
Oversee Profit & Loss (P&L) of logistics operations
Manage both in-house and 3PL logistics
Own key UX metrics (delivery time, price, defect rate)
Develop value propositions for shipping
Manage the commercial team
Optimize costs and expand geographically with new carriers

Your Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in supply chain or shipping
3+ years of direct people management experience
Experience with 3PL logistics and in-house marketplace logistics
Proven experience in product development
Demonstrated ability to build and implement shipping strategies
Experience with budgeting and P&L ownership
Skilled in change management and setting up operations from scratch
Prior experience in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on attitude
Proficient in both spoken and written English
