Location: Readiness to work from our current location at 39 Farbiarska Street in Warsaw, with later relocation to our new facility at 105 Katowicka Avenue in Kajetany.

The Role:

You'll be part of the Global Sourcing department and report directly to the Global Commodity Manager based in Poland.

As a Global Category Leader, you're responsible for strategic definition and management of a sourcing category (Mechanical parts, components) for all Markem-Imaje's product range. You'll plan, drive, and implement direct material spend purchasing activities under defined categories to meet supplier performance to Markem-Imaje standards.

You'll lead high-level business and strategic negotiations in line with company strategy, partnering with senior management and key internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, communicate, and execute a roadmap for the annual plan and long-term strategy.
  2. Ensure bottom-up alignment of sourcing activities with top targets (productivity, T&C improvements). Engage with key stakeholders on spend, budget visibility, defined roadmaps, and driving adhesion to commodity strategy.
  3. Supply base risk management (yearly plan and risk mitigation).
  4. Define and manage SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) including contracting.
  5. Contribute to global direct material & supply base performance. Ensure consistent application of all sourcing levers. Accountable for setting and achieving objectives of cost optimization and supply base optimization. Pilot sourcing KPIs, ensure compliance, and application of sourcing process.
  6. Represent commodities within the Product Division organization (innovation, supplier selection, etc.). Support NPI, obsolescence, phase-out...
  7. Discipline continuous improvement: policy, procedures, tools, and reporting.
  8. Ensure all Dover standards are communicated and applied by suppliers: ethical standards, compliance to international and local regulations, trade compliance, environmental, and safety standards...

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering required (mechanical preferred), completed by Business Administration, Purchasing, or similar.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role in an industrial and international environment, ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to partner with senior management and executives, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Synthetic vision, results-driven in a structured approach, and build complex contractual agreements.
  • Excel and MS office solid skills, ERP knowledge, SAP is a plus.
  • Polish and English fluent (please provide an English version of your CV).
  • Availability to travel on a regular basis both locally and globally.
