The Role:

In this role, you will be part of the Global Sourcing department and report directly to the Global Commodity Manager based in Poland.

The Global Category Leader is responsible for the strategic definition and management of a sourcing category (Mechanical parts, components) for all Markem-Imaje's product range (Laser, Continuous Inkjet, Thermal Transfer, Print & Apply machines...). You will plan, drive, and implement direct material spend purchasing activities under defined categories to meet supplier performance to Markem-Imaje standards.

You will have the opportunity to lead high-level business and strategic negotiations in line with company strategy and partnering with senior management and key internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, communicate, and execute a roadmap for the annual plan and long-term strategy.
  • Ensure bottom-up alignment of sourcing activities with top targets (productivity, T&C improvements). Engage with key stakeholders on spend, budget visibility, defined roadmaps, and driving adhesion to commodity strategy.
  • Supply base risk management (yearly plan and risk mitigation).
  • Define and manage the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) including contracting.
  • Contribute to the global Direct Material & Supply Base Performance. Ensure consistent application of all sourcing levers. Accountable for the setting of and achievement of the objectives of cost optimization and supply base optimization. Pilot Sourcing KPIs, Ensure compliance and application of sourcing process.
  • Represent commodities within the Product Division organization (innovation, supplier selection, etc..). Support NPI, obsolescence, phase-out...
  • Discipline continuous improvement: policy, procedures, tools, and reporting.
  • Ensure all Dover standards are communicated and applied by suppliers: Ethical standards, compliance to international and local regulations, Trade compliance, Environmental and safety standards...

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering required (mechanical preferred), completed by Business Administration, Purchasing, or similar.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role in an industrial and international environment, ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and ability to partner with senior management and executives, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Synthetic vision, results-driven in a structured approach, and build complex contractual agreements.
  • Excel and MS office solid skills, ERP knowledge, SAP is a plus.
  • Polish and English fluent (please provide an English version of your CV).
  • Availability to travel on a regular basis both locally and globally.
