Job Overview

TN Poland is seeking a seasoned Freight Forwarding Business Development Leader to spearhead our business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and freight forwarding, with a strong ability to build relationships with customers, carriers, and drivers.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and working closely with other departments to drive business growth.

You will also be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to carriers and drivers, ensuring that customer freight coverage needs are met, and revenue and margin data is captured accurately and timely.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Transportation and Logistics, Business Management, or other related fields, and must possess a winning attitude, negotiation skills, personal accountability, and knowledge of creating best solutions to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet revenue goals and growth initiatives established by management.
  2. Manage customer relationships, including building trust, resolving issues, and providing excellent customer service.
  3. Work closely with other departments to drive business growth, including collaborating with sales teams, account managers, and operations staff.
  4. Provide leadership and guidance to carriers and drivers, ensuring that customer freight coverage needs are met.
  5. Ensure revenue and margin data is captured accurately and timely for reporting/invoicing purposes and maximize utilization of systems for more efficient workflow.
  6. Manage and monitor carrier and drivers' performance, record and report any non-compliance, late deliveries, and provide performance feedback to clients and management.
  7. Follow protocol in carrier qualification for brokered loads and follow best practices guidelines.
  8. Provide operational support during vacations, sick days, and periods of growth.
