Job Description

Holisticon Connect is a custom software development company with a strong presence in Poland and a growing team of over 180 people. We have the opportunity to work with world-renowned brands from Scandinavia, the UK, and Western Europe.

We are seeking a skilled Matillion and AWS Platform Administrator to join our newly formed team of DWH professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrating and supporting data warehouse platforms on-premises and in the cloud.

Our customer is a well-known Scandinavian automotive company with global operations. They have DWH on premises with Oracle Database and ODI, and in the cloud based on Snowflake, Matillion, Gitlab, and AWS/Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain Matillion in PaaS and SaaS version
  • Perform infrastructure operational activities, including upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Communicate with stakeholders about admin activities
  • Monitor, automate, and optimize the cloud infrastructure from a performance and cost perspective
  • Set up invoicing processes to generate invoices for consumer teams
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of operational procedures and policies
  • Recognize common problems and try to prevent them, and identify opportunities for service improvement and automation
  • Learn from continuous improvement and share knowledge within the team, as well as support in maintaining internal documentation
  • Help others with guidance and suggest improvements
  • Involve in security review processes and keep the platform secure

This is a long-term collaboration for an indefinite period, with the potential to grow with a newly formed team.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of admin experience in Matillion Administration
  • 4+ years of experience in Cloud administration (AWS preferred)
  • Proficient in Python Coding

We appreciate skills in the following areas:

  • 2+ years of experience working in the data warehousing domain
  • 1+ years of admin experience in Snowflake Administration
  • Good understanding of Linux and networks
  • Good understanding of git branching, pushing, and pulling code to and from a git repository
  • Strong English language skills
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
