Job Summary:

The Travel & Expense Manager at Carrier will lead the development and enhancement of global processes to ensure adaptability as business needs evolve. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with policies, enhancing user experience, and driving cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

The Travel & Expense Manager will oversee and optimize the company's travel and expense management processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Process Management: Develop, implement, and maintain travel and expense policies and procedures that align with organizational goals. Assist with the evaluation, selection, and deployment of functionality, including key internal controls.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze travel and expense data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and compliance issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Procurement, and DT to ensure a seamless travel experience and effective use of travel management systems.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with travel vendors and participate in contract negotiations as a dedicated partner.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to employees regarding travel and expense policies, systems, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to recommend process enhancements.
  • User Support: Perform global T&E System Expense application support, including user security, annual rollovers, assist with metadata updates, statutory rate changes, connect and maintain corporate credit card feeds, etc.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and present status reports to management, including spend metrics, travel trends, and key risks.
  • Control Environment: Oversee and enhance the organization's control environment by implementing effective risk management practices and fostering a culture of accountability to maintain an effective control environment.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • several years of experience in travel and expense management or related finance roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the Navan travel and expense system is a preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of global travel regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
