Senior Enterprise Risk Management Specialist
Thomson Reuters is seeking a seasoned Senior Enterprise Risk Management Specialist to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our global enterprise risk management framework, policies, and practices.
As a key member of our Risk team, you will have the responsibility to drive risk culture and ensure effective risk management practices are embedded across the organization.
About the Role
In this opportunity, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all components of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, including risk governance, risk management methodologies, risk reporting, and risk culture.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Executing the ERM function's day-to-day activities and annual program initiatives
- Facilitating the preparation of periodic Enterprise Risk Management reports to the Enterprise Risk Committee and the Board Risk Committee
- Overseeing the enhancement and monitoring of KRIs across key risk categories
- Conducting continuous benchmarking and compiling macro-trends, market changes, global forces, and risk management, compliance, and ESG best practices
- Leveraging TR technology to conduct risk analysis, including scenario simulation, stress testing, trend analysis, and insights
- Supporting the implementation of our risk culture strategy, including the execution of organization-wide training and change management activities related to risk management
- Maintaining and enhancing the Global Policy Framework to ensure standardization, centralization, and ongoing maintenance of all global policy documents to promote uniformity and effective policy management across the organization
- Managing and maintaining GRC tools, systems, and processes
- Ensuring integrity, completeness, and accessibility of the risk documentation
- Cultivating effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization
About You
You're a fit for this role if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Fluent English
- Relevant professional certification (CRM or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 6-8 years of risk management experience, with knowledge of technology industry preferred
- Sound and practical knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Problem-solving, analysis, judgment, analytical skills, experience with developing quantitative risk models
- Ability to deliver (initiative, perseverance, energetic, and process improvement skills)
- Interpersonal savvy (listening skills and empathy, strong written and presentation skills)
