Job Description

Overview:

IGT is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Manager to oversee the Computer Operations Department and ensure the delivery of exceptional services to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Computer Operators and System Analysts, coordinating workforce utilization, and implementing effective procedures for Computer Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 15+ Computer Operators and System Analysts to ensure compliance with established schedules and objectives.
  • Coordinate and control workforce utilization, scheduling resources in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and administer procedures for Computer Operations, improving the qualifications of operations staff through internal and external trainings.
  • Evaluate and recommend personnel for promotions, changes in duty, transfers, salary changes, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Ensure comfortable working conditions for operations personnel in accordance with local laws.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform the role of Facilities Manager for Data Center, supervising the secure installation and/or changes of hardware and system operating software.
  • Coordinating the repairs and maintenance of all Data Center equipment, interfacing with maintenance vendors and reviewing maintenance contracts.
  • Perform the role of Security Manager and Business Continuity Manager, maintaining external accreditations and ensuring secure data transfer and collection.

Requirements:

  • University degree in a computer-related discipline and preferred experience in Computer Operations or IT support team.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in team management.
  • Demonstrate high flexibility and good communication in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective technical writing skills, and self-motivation.
  • Able to balance priorities amongst all stakeholders, advanced knowledge of IT best practices, and associated tools related to Incident, Change, Release, Audit, and Problem Management.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong trouble-shooting and incident resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of IBM products, Cisco products, VMware, Linux, and Data Center network equipment.
  • Knowledge of ISO-20000 standards and information security management system ISMS and ISO-27001, SOC standards.
