About the Role:



We are searching for a highly skilled Senior Financial Leader to join our team at Growth Care. As a Senior Financial Leader, you will play a vital role in our accounting department, leading our activities in general accounting, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures, as well as in the financial integration of new clinics and financial transformation projects.



You will be responsible for coordinating the work of 1-2 Accountants and collaborating with clinics in Austria and Switzerland. You will report to the Accounting Lead and be part of the CHAPO cluster Finance Team.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Leading daily accounting and booking of ongoing business transactions
  • Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting book closures
  • Ensuring that the reconciliations of accounts are accurate and up to date
  • Closely working with the controlling department in the preparation of periodic financial reports
  • Leading/coordinating the Accounting Team
  • Familiarity with AniCura Group Accounting standards and procedures
  • Training the Accounting Team in collaboration with the Market CFO
  • Monitoring local market (Austria and/or Switzerland) accounting GAAPs changes
  • Building strong work relationships with local operations teams (clinic Heads) - being the first line of support in local accounting cases/questions
  • Serving as a primary contact for authorities, internal, and external auditors
  • Providing support for financial transformation projects and the Finance Department's development


Requirements:




  • Proven experience as Senior Accountant or Chief Accountant (RtR experience is a strong preference)
  • Experience in coordinating a work of accounting team
  • Experience with the accounting period closing process for distributed data structures
  • Good knowledge of Austrian and/or Swiss accounting GAAPs
  • Fluency in German language is a must (daily communication with German speaking stakeholders)
  • Communicative level of English (B1-B2)
  • Oracle system user skills
  • MS Office (especially Excel) user skills
  • An empathetic personality with excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, used to work in a matrix organization
  • Comfort in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with shifting demands and able to effectively prioritize between competing tasks
  • Having strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and meet short-term operational deadlines
